JCU's Spring Break = Bond's Final Week?
So mid-April comes around, and Amy & I have a few friends that go to school up north in Townsville at James Cook Uni. Since they follow the traditional Australian semester timeline, they start late, end late, and have a mid-semester (fall) break. They decided to come for a little Gold Coast quality time; however, it just so happened that this fell on me & Amy's week of finals. So you see the dilemma...Anyways, what kind of friends would we be if we let Viv, Kim, Court, and Marta down, right? :)
First night: April 14, Good Friday...Everything, including bars, are shut down until midnight. We found alternate plans to amuse ourselves until then pregaming at a house in Surfer's. The boys' house that we went to visit knew Kim from home. They were a blast, fun kids that went to Bond as well...

Ask us how we managed to move the next day, and I can't give you an answer. We were up making eggs and toast, and after we retrieved Marta's lost cell phone from Bob & his gigantic puppies, we headed out to the beach at Surfer's Paradise. I've been there countless times, yet that's the first time I can say I saw Surfer's sober....It was just that kind of semester.
We downed a boost and headed to the beach, meeting up w. Marcus and a few other friends. I'm pretty sure Kim and I were still drunk from the night before though. Still, got some sun & had a blast...what more can you ask for.

After sushi, packey runs, and catching the bus back home, we got ready for night#2. We called BILL for a ride to Griffith Uni to meet up w. Marcus, ran around for a bus which managed to evade us, then called a cab into Surfer's. We started at O'Malleys, Beer Garden, and - of course - Melbas.
